Brands Battle for Good is an annual pitch competition hackathon and zero waste conference that brings teams together to strategize social and environmental solutions around Vancouver, BC. The main theme was to look for waste reduction solutions within the community. The winning idea was EcoMeter, a sustainable restaurant resource concept to connect people with restaurants that strive for eco friendly practices.

In a group of 3 product designers, we were tasked to create a website for EcoMeter for both desktop and mobile, a visual guide for branded assets and an onboarding system for restaurants and customers. We worked closely with the project managers, creative director and developer team to determine the direction of the project. I participated in the UI interfaces and prototype for the website layout and mobile system.

I learned a lot about working on a team with multi-disciplinary fields. Having to come up with deliverables consistently while being able to communicate design decisions was super rewarding. Collaborating with different UX designers and developers expanded my grasp on full scale projects and it was inspiring to work on something that could make a difference.
